SOUL SIRKUS To Make Live Debut In The Fall
August 1, 2004SOUL SIRKUS, the new "supergroup" formed by singer Jeff Scott Soto (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TALISMAN, AXEL RUDI PELL, TAKARA, HUMAN CLAY),guitarist Neal Schon and drummer Deen Castronovo (both of JOURNEY) and bassist Marco Mendoza (THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE, TED NUGENT),are tentatively planning on making their live debut in November or December. The band are trying to find a 'hole' in their touring schedules to make their debut outing with two shows on the West Coast, Los Angeles & San Francisco, as '...a deal is right around the corner' with a worldwide label," reads a posting on the group's web site.
In other news, "the long-promised next batch of SOUL SIRKUS songs went through several re-mixing attempts that were not strong enough to be considered done, hence the delay," continues the post. "Problem is with Neal out with JOURNEY & Jeff preparing for his [solo] tour, the mixes are being done without the scrutiny normally necessary, but word has been given to us they set aside the proper attention along with their engineer in Boston, John Ellis, & the samplers will be available for us by the 2nd week of August."
